About One Fit Mother


Heather Valentine, the founder of One Fit Mother, is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist who believes in building your best body from the inside out.

Her unique approach to fitness and food can be attributed to having tackled her own health challenges – hormonal imbalances, food sensitivities and an extra 70 pounds of baby weight – and transforming them into a positive philosophy and dynamic training system.

Specializing in weight loss and strength training for women, Heather understands how to customize workouts for maximum results in minimal time. She also teaches you simple to follow food strategies for more mindful based eating habits believing fitness should enhance your life not be your life.

One Fit Mother’s recipes, tips and workouts have been featured in Beach Cities Magazine, The Beach Reporter, Fabletics and For Two Fitness.

Heather enjoys food, lifting heavy things and Spartan racing with her husband. You will also find her on local Southern California trails encouraging her young daughter to hike more and whine less.

 What is your personal training system?

My system is based on functional training with a focus on developing core strength and overall stability while creating lean muscle. Workouts are fun and challenging and customized to maximize results in minimal time.

What is your nutrition strategy?

Our individual needs are different so we should fuel our bodies in a way that is unique to our make up. My strategies are based on clean eating principals. I teach you how to break it down into small manageable steps. Programs are designed to help you become a more conscious eater while keeping your specific goals in mind.

 Where do you train?

Many local clients train with me at a private gym. Based on availability we can also train at parks, beaches, stairs and sand dunes.  Online training is by email and FaceTime or Skype.
